Champagne Region Tour
Exceptional Experiences™ in Champagne
Add two spectacular days in the Champagne Region with unprecedented access to Chateau Life, including a rare invitation to a private lunch in the Veuve Cliquot Manor House. Avoid the high-rise hotels and packaged tours, and get into the countryside where Champagne has been grown, cared for and loved by generations of winemakers. 15 July Morning - Depart La Maison Champs Elysees, Paris in our Luxury Coach Mid-morning - Check in to the charming Chateau de Rilly, a beautifully restored 18th Century Maison de Champagne in the village of Rilly-la-Montagne, right in the heart of the vineyards of Champagne. In fact, you'll be surrounded by them. Mid-day - We are invited to be one of the first groups to visit the newly-renovated Manoir de Verzy, a private manor house belonging to the Maison Veuve Cliquot, offering a spectacular view on the exceptional vineyards of the Champagne region. We will enjoy a private vineyard tour and a private gastronomic lunch specially prepared for a perfect wine and food paring (based on an aperitif, starter, main courses, cheeses and dessert). As guests of Veuve Cliquot, we will enjoy tasting Veuve Yellow Label, Veuve Clicquot Rosé and Veuve Clicquot Demi-Sec with dessert. Late Afternoon - We move on to the historical heart of Champagne, Hautvillers and the Abbey of St. Peter, where the monk, Dom Perignon himself perfected the art of Champagne. We tour the Abbey, and learn a bit about Dom Perignon and why he had such a huge impact on sparkling wine. Finally, we end up in the perfect hillside restaurant, Le Restaurant de l'Abbaye, just opposite the Abbey, where celebrated chef Thierry Landrigan will prepare his favorite regional dishes and regale you with stories from Champagne's past. 16 July Breakfast at the hotel Morning - First, we visit Vilmart & Cie, a family-owned Maison de Champagne where the tour guide is also the owner. The French have an affinity for Champagne grown and bottled by people with "dirt on their boots" so this will be a very authentic experience. Evening - We are invited to a private dinner in the Cellars St. Petersburg at the massive Veuve Cliquot limestone cellars. Learn how the widow Cliquot broke Napoleon's naval blockade to get her vintage to St. Petersburg, and owned the Russian Champagne market for 50 years following. Enjoy spectacular vintages, excellent company, and an unparalleled setting. 17 July Breakfast in the hotel Morning - Luxury Coach departing to Charles de Gaul Airport at 8:00am For those who remain: Optional walking tour of the village of Rilly-la-Montagne Check out of hotel and depart at your leisure Pricing for Champagne Tour Extension: Traditional Room USD 2200 per person (Double Occupancy) USD 2500 per person (Single Occupancy) Terrace Room USD 2300 per person (Double Occupancy) USD 2600 per person (Single Occupancy) How to book: Email us at info@bastilleday.com, use the "Chat with an Expert" feature on this site, or call on our Bastille Day Travel Team for advice and access to the very best in Paris Tours & Events: USA +1-305-407-2240 Call us from your country: ESP +34 944 580 168 AUS +61 2 8520 3587 HKG +852 5808 6081 Services offered by: Festival Pros™ 1395 Brickell Ave, Suite 800 Miami, FL 33131 USA Florida Seller of Travel Registration No. ST39339 |
